I've been here twice (March 2013 and February 2014), thus, I can pretty much say that this has become my favorite. Sorry Boracay! ☺
El Nido is roughly 5-6 hours away from Puerto Princesa via van. During my first time here, we are lucky to catch the 12PM van, thus, arriving at the entrance to El Nido exactly during sunset hours.

Thankful that the driver of the van knew this exact spot where we can catch El Nido's beautiful sunset. This was our final stopover and this also marks your arrival at El Nido.
Mandatory "Welcome to El Nido" shot ☺ (March 2013)
Once you reached the Welcome to El Nido spot, it will only take about 30 minutes to reach the final stop, which is the van terminal. From there, you can ride a motorcycle to reach the beach front area. We stayed at Anang Balay Turista which is a cozy spot near El Nido Boutique and Art Cafe which is a famous spot among tourists.
This has been our "home" in El Nido. ♥ (March 2013)
Lovely view from our room. ♥ (March 2013)
Aside from the Art Cafe, there are several restaurants along the street where you can have your lunch or dinner. Walk further towards the town and you can find carinderias which offer home cooked meals and grilled food.
After having dinner, make sure to rest early and to charge your gadgets because electricity runs only from 2PM til 6AM. Not to worry though, because tours normally start at 9AM so by the time that you wake up, you can still have breakfast and prepare for island hopping.
More of El Nido on my next posts! ☺
xoxo, lil' miss wanderlust ♥
