Shimizu Island - El Nido♥

An island named after a Japanese who is said to have died near this island, this is part of Tour A, and another beautiful island in El Nido. This is where normally group tours stop over for lunch. There's a lot to be done here actually, the rock cliffs can be a perfect backdrop for photo ops. You can also do snorkeling while waiting for the food to be prepared, or just simply sunbathe. ☺

Boat Parking ☺
Our sumptuous lunch courtesy of our tour guides!☺
El Nido has the freshest and sweetest mangoes & watermelons I've ever had!

During my second visit in El Nido, we didn't stop here for lunch though, and we stopped almost in the middle of the sea since it is also a good spot for snorkeling. Most of my friends took that chance to see the life underwater, me not included, since I can't swim. lol. I just gave them my waterproof camera to take pictures of the fishes.

I Heart Matinloc Island♥

To begin with, I was never a fan of El Nido, Palawan's TOUR C. Conquering the open sea waves is just frightening. Both the 1st and 2nd visit I had encountered waves so huge it will make you scream. LOL. Maybe that was an exaggeration, I was just scared. But then again, I will never pass up a chance to see and visit Matinloc Island.

According to one of the tour guides we met, this island, from an aerial view, is shaped like a heart. And I swear, every turn on this island will just make you go "awwwww". It's so beautiful with its fine sand and clear blue waters.

Just a short hike and you will be rewarded with this breathtaking view:

There's also a mini museum in the island which contains pictures of and about the island.

In the center of the island, there's a shrine of Mama Mary.

During my second El Nido visit, this is where our group stopped by for lunch and it's quite nice because the island offers lots of shades from its trees and the view is just picturesque.

Matinloc Island is definitely the perfect choice for photo ops! Don't forget a jump shot or two! ☺

Pinagbuyutan Island, El Nido -- my favorite♥

I couldn't break down my El Nido trip via the island tours since I went there twice and took different tours, the second visit was combination tours, which, as told, was no longer allowed in El Nido. So I though of just blogging about the specific islands which I came to love.

First off, Pinagbuyutan Island. ☺

This island is part of TOUR B package which is what I enjoyed most, and clearly, since I'm featuring this island first among the many points of interest in El Nido, this is my favorite.

My first time here (March 2013) this was the last stop of our tour, so I get to relax on the sand and soak up the sun, and of course, take selfies. ☺ But I enjoyed my second time here more last February 2014 since this is our first destination and I appreciate the entirety of this beautiful and serene island. I get to explore the island more and take pictures which I haven't done the first time.

I LOVE VIEW. ♥ (Feb 2014)

The noticeable thing about this island is its trademark tree which is bent in the middle. It's a perfect spot to lay down and just stare up at the sun. ☺

My favorite tree. ♥ (Feb 2014)

Yours Truly saying hello from my favorite island. ☺♥ (Feb 2014)

Next post would be all about Matinloc Island.
